Optimal Design of Circularly Symmetric and Elliptical 2d-Fir Filter Based on Salp Swarm Optimization Algorithm

In this paper an approach for the design and optimization of the performance of circular symmetric and elliptical 2D-FIR filters has been explained. For performance optimization of the FIR filter, the Salp Swarm optimization algorithm has been used. It shows better results in pass-band and stop-band ripples and significant improvement in the number of fitness function evaluations compared with other optimization algorithms such as ABC, GA, PSO, GFPA, CSA, etc.
