Modeling of an Electric Damper for Controlling Radial Clearances in an Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine

This article presents a mathematical model for controlling an electric damper, consisting of a regulating body (throttling device such as a damper) and an electromechanism for controlling radial clearances in an aircraft gas turbine engine. On the basis of the proposed model, simulation modeling is carried out, which shows the efficiency of the proposed approach. The implemented damper control allows turning the damper from fully open to fully closed within 1.5 s.
