A Review on the Application of Virtual Reality in Professional and Vocational Training

Virtual Reality (VR) has been applied in various areas, such as gaming, rehabilitation, and treatment. It also played a role in professional and vocational training and education. In this paper we applied the six-pillar educational technology model and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge framework to analyse the application of VR in the context of vocational training in skill-intensive professions, including teachers, law enforcement officers, nurses, and athletes.
