A Review of Elderly Fall Detection Systems using Artificial Intelligence

Physical falls are a significant threat for the elderly population. This research study reviews the existing AI-based fall detection systems, which can also predict falls with an increased accuracy. Even though many fall detection systems exist for elderly people, the existing systems face various challenges in terms of power consumption, real-time operation, accessibility, and accuracy in real-time situations. This research study discusses about the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AD technologies in elderly fall detection and how far it contributes to solve the aforementioned challenges in the existing fall detection systems.
