Big Data Influence on The Corporate Social Responsibility: Benefits and Challenges

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) being an old practice is now in modern world is applied with technology. Many companies are communicating their CSR scheme over the internet on social networks particularly on face book and twitter and Bid Data is exploited to assess the reactions of the stakeholders and the trends prevailing in the market. This paper reviews articles published by various authors related to Big Data and CSR and focus on the use of social media for CSR actions communication to the stakeholders and the collection of data in form of Big Data. The paper has also reviewed the application of different methods to analyze the "Huge", "Fast" and "Hard" data and the pros and cons of application of Big Data in the field of CSR communication. The paper concludes that the social media enables the corporate to have direct connections with the affected stakeholders through dialogs and make their CSR communication reach far enough. The Big Data exploitation enables them to record the reactions and the feedbacks of the stakeholders and plan the future schemes.
