Fine-Structure Spectroscopy, Spectroradiometry of Combustion Products of Energy Fuels and their Application in Power Engineering

The application of fine-structure spectroscopy and spectroradiometry in technologies for optimizing the production of thermal and electrical energy is considered. Measuring complexes of high spectral resolution have been developed, operating in the spectral range of 0.2-25 μm in modes of absorption of radiation by combustion products and in the mode of measuring absolute spectra of radiation. Equilibrium and non-equilibrium radiation processes in energy production technologies are analysed. The radiation characteristics of the ingredients of the gas and dispersed phases of fuel combustion products in the temperature range up to 2500 K are obtained, and the problem of numerical modelling of radiation heat transfer in combustion chambers and radiation heat transfer is solved in order to optimize design solutions. The use of multi-chamber furnace designs ensures optimal energy production both in terms of efficiency and its cost.
