Investigation of the sensitivity of an aluminum aperture cantilever to the polarization of incident radiation

In this research we estimate the influence polarisation of the incident radiation on the measurement by a pyramidal aperture cantilever. The numerical modelling of the detection process was made by applying the finite-difference time-domain method. It was numerically demonstrated that proposed aluminum pyramidal aperture cantilever is more sensitive to the transversal electric components than the longitudinal component.
