Range Doppler Algorithm for Wide-beam Multi-Receiver Synthetic Aperture Sonar Considering Differential Range Curvature

Aiming at the problem that existing imaging algorithms under wide beam conditions only consider the relative range offset between different receivers, ignoring differential range curvature, resulting in poor imaging quality under wide beam conditions, this paper proposes a range Doppler imaging algorithm for synthetic aperture sonar with multiple receivers that considers differential range curvature. Firstly, Signals from different receivers are corrected to the central reference receiver in the range Doppler domain, and spectrum aliasing is removed through coherent superposition. The multiple receiver signal is equivalent to a monostatic wide beam signal. Then, the two-dimensional spectrum of the equivalent wide beam signal is obtained through series inversion. Only one imaging process is required for the wide beam signal to obtain imaging results, taking into account imaging quality and efficiency. Computer simulation experiments have proved the superiority of our method.
