Single Switch Controlled Single Phase Induction Motor

In order to manage the speed of a single phase induction motor with better efficiency and power factor, this study uses the pulse width modulation approach, Our suggested approach employs a diode and a single semiconductor switch MOSFET to regulate the rate of single-phase induction motors including loads like fan base, cleaners, etc. Both domestic and professional settings can use this strategy. This technique has applications in both home and industrial settings. Previously, back-to-back Thyristors or Triacs were used, but they had the drawback of having a poorer power factor and efficiency since more current was taken than was necessary at the start, which caused larger power losses. Our suggested method offers greater power factor, lower power losses, and higher efficiency together with economy and simplicity.
