Multiphase electric drives are required in several applications to provide high levels of reliability. With a newly developed space vector modulation approach, the third part will generate the switching pulses of the inverter switches. A series of simulations using PLECS and Python were conducted to verify the concept and illustrate the potential of the proposed drive system.
