Multiple Circular Slot Loaded Compact Circular Micro-Patch Antenna for V-Band Applications

A circular patch antenna with circular slots etched on the substrate has been designed and simulated using CST microwave studio tool. It has been observed the multiple bands at 51.211GHz, 68.231 GHz, and 86.492 GHz. The designed radiating structure is fed using coaxial feed and uses Rogers RT 5870 lossless substrate. The slots which are circular in shape perform important role for circular antenna to resonate at multiple frequency bands. The proposed antennas radiation efficiency, S

and gain, 3D and 2D radiation patterns, surface current and input output responses are discussed. The radiation efficiency of the antenna is nearly 100% with a directivity of 7.327dBi. The designed antenna can be utilized for upper sub-band of 5G Communication and vehicular communication.
