Integrated Heuristic Approaches to get Maximum Power from Fixed and Moving PV Solar Panel

Global energy needs are increasing day by day due to industrialization and modernization which demands the requirement of extra power. At the same time, the generation of this excess power using non-renewable energy sources leads to increase of environmental issues. However, the efficiency of power generation through conventional PV solar panel is very less even though the Maximum Power Tracker (MPT) techniques have been used for the improvement of overall efficiency of conventional PV solar panels, but still, it is not up to the expected level. This is where, our paper proposes the heuristic approaches to improve the efficiency of conventional solar panels. The proposed heuristic approaches consist of a movable Dust Restrained Convex Glass Shield (DRCGS) over the MPT PV solar panel, similarly a movable DRCGS over the fixed PV solar panel and a gravity controlled automatic dust cleaning roller over the proposed DRCGS. These heuristic approaches are integrated on a hardware project using 4 different servo-motors and are programmed to operate together with solar panel and DRCGS. Through this proposed method, the DRCGS enhanced the output power during peak consumption hours i.e., 6 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm. Therefore, the proposed method achieved higher efficiency of PV Solar panels using heuristic approaches as compared to the conventional MPT PV Solar panels and from the existing fixed PV solar panels.
