Correlation study of service order reports and quality control tests in a MRI scanner

Quality in diagnostic imaging services is achieved with qualified teams and calibrated scanners with periodic maintenance and inspections that reduce equipment downtime. This paper aims to analyze the accuracy variances in quality control (QC) tests and correlate with the open service order (OSO) history in an MRI machine. The results show that the tests are within the expected tolerance and it is suggested that the slice thickness test is a good variable to avoid an inoperative MR scanner or an open service order.
