Reduction In UWB - MIMO Antenna Mutual Coupling Using P - Stub

This work presents a low Mutual Coupling Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) ultra-wideband antenna. It is made up of two radiating pieces that share a ground plane with a 32×24 mm
²
surface area. It is small, highly effective, and wrench-shaped. A very low mutual coupling (MC) (S21 < -20 dB) is achieved by introducing P-shape stubs between the two radiating elements. The radiation pattern of two radiating components is independent of one another and have a high diversity gain (DG > 9.8 dB) and low Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC<0.012). The performance of the antenna is assessed in relation to the S-Parameters and radiation characteristics, peak gain, diversity gain and envelop correlation coefficient. The findings of simulation and measurements show a fair degree of agreement.
