Research on Compressed Slot Antenna Resonating at Higher Order Modes

Slot antennas are widely used on account of their small size, light weight, and low profile. In this research, a compressed slot antenna resonating at higher order modes is proposed. The center frequency of the antenna is 3 GHz and the designed slot length is 50mm. The change of compressibility is achieved by adjusting the dielectric substrate’s relative permittivity. According to the simulation results, the slot antenna operating at higher resonant modes performs better in terms of input impedance and directivity.
