An Explicit Estimation of Solar Powered Pumping System for Tillage in Countryside of Jharkhand via “PVsyst”

In today’s era the world is facing different situations some are good whereas some are worst ever. Climate Change is one of the worst problems. Due to climate change and global warming the schedule of seasons are changing drastically and the countries in different geographical locations are facing extreme weather events such as many countries facing the problem of drought whereas some are affected by great floods. Since India has diverse topography and many seasonal cycles with a definite time period. These time periods have been badly affected with the severe climatic events. Recent studies have shown that the summer season in India has extended from normal 3-4 months to around 7-8 months which disturbs the monsoon timing. This disturbance in monsoon timing forces the farmers to go for an alternate source of rainy season to fulfil their agricultural water needs. But in rural areas Conventional fuel Pumps are the main sources for draining underground water as there are no green energy arrangements. Taking the above things in account a standalone solar pump system using PVsyst software has been designed for tillage near countryside Chittvishram in Jharkhand state, having coordinates of 24.25 N and 83.47 E. The entire study is based on the water requirement which is 3650 cubic meter annually for the selected land. The performance ratio for the designed system is 63.4 %.
