Study of Tsallis Distribution of Plasma inside Paul Trap using 3D Color-Map Plots

Using 3D color-map plots we study the behavior of the time evolution of the velocity distribution function of Plasma confined in a Paul trap by assuming the distribution to be q-Gaussian. The q-Gaussian distribution is a type of Tsallis distribution that generalizes the Gaussian distribution and gives a more accurate description of the statistics of Plasma than the Gaussian distribution. From the 3D color-map plots we see that for specific values of system scale factor the time evolution of the distribution function is periodic, otherwise it is generally non-periodic. We also study the 3D color-map plots of the initial q-Gaussian distribution for different values of the parameter q and see the change in color-map of the initial q-Gaussian distribution with increasing values of q.
