Optimal Distribution Network Switching Reconfiguration against Extreme Events

It is acknowledged that the topology reconfiguration of the distribution network is significant to improve the security and efficiency of power supply in extreme events. In order to effectively restore the power routing of the distribution network, the operators need a faster and more efficient optimization method to dynamically design the topology. Therefore, a new distributed algorithm-based distribution network reconfiguration method is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, two main costs are comprehensively considered, switching cost and operation cost, a reconfiguration optimization model of the distribution network is established and solved by the distributed Bias Min-consensus algorithm, which can find the solution with a fast speed in dynamically switching topology. Moreover, a probability based method is adopted to generate the failure scenarios of the distribution network in the extreme events. Simulation results on a 54-node test distribution network show the effective performance of the proposed methodology.
