A 4-layer Dielectric Slab Covered High-Gain Modified Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna

This paper shows a high gain Vivaldi antenna covered by a 4-layer dielectric plate. The antenna consists of a Vivaldi antenna loaded with an edge gradient slot and four bare dielectric plates. The simulation results show that the antenna can work in 2.86-40GHz. The gain varies from 3–18 dB. The excellent performance of the antenna makes it have a broad application prospect in microwave imaging and other fields.
