The Xiangshan IOUT Digital Branch Unit

As the demand for ocean exploration continues to increase, the construction scale of the observation network gradually expands and the reliability of the seafloor observation network decreases accordingly. Any node and cable failure will cause the whole underwater network paralysis. To control natural disaster and water pollution control in an efficient way, a new era name Internet of Underwater Things is introduced. This paper mainly develops a digital branch unit suitable for IOUT. The current on the power line is used as the low frequency digital signal to broadcast information contains address and command to the network. The corresponding DBU can decode and execute the command, and its function is tested in the sea trial.
