The Effect of New Specific Electrical Loads on Residential Complexes

The article presents research of the actual electrical loads of residential complexes. Analysis have confirmed that power supply schemes for residential complexes are calculated with a large overestimation. In fact, electricity consumption by the population has changed significantly in recent years. The number of household appliances has increased, but it has become more energy efficient. As a result, there is a reduction in energy consumption. This issue needs to be solved, as it leads to an unjustified increase in the cost of building external power supply for residential complexes, as well as to an increase in losses in power transformers during exploitation. The proposed model for monitoring electrical loads will update the current regulatory documents, taking into account the actual load through the use of information obtained from smart electricity meters. An enlarged calculation of economic efficiency from the use of new standard values for calculating the electrical load of residential complexes confirmed the relevance of the topic for construction and power grid companies.
