Islanded microgrid with robust power sharing and voltage stabilization control structure using model predictive control

This work reconfigures the primary control with a focus on the problems of active power sharing and voltage variation of parallel-connected inverters in an islanded micro- grid (MG). The power-voltage droop control loop defines a related error between active power and point-of-common-coupling (PCC) voltage amplitude. An upgraded model predictive control system is then put into place to reach the new droop control relation, where active power sharing and voltage amplitude recovery may be done at the same time. Because of the Improved Model Predictive Control (IMPC) framework’s rapid dynamic reaction and exceptional robustness, high-precision active power sharing may also be ensured during the transient state without being impacted by line impedance differences. Simulation results demonstrate that the suggested control scheme is effective and the power sharing performance have been enhanced.
