Parasitic and Open slot-based Circular polarized Two-port Antenna for ISM applications

The plough-shaped parasitic stubs and the open slot-based circularly polarized two-port antenna is discussed in this paper. The bandwidth of the rectangular shape radiator with modified microstrip-line fed position is 5.55 GHz to 6 GHz with greater than 20 dB port isolation. The parasitic stubs are mounted on the top surface of the antenna which diminishes the surface current and enhances the isolation up to 9 dB. The open slot perturbs the ground current and enhances the bandwidth of the antenna. The 3dB axial bandwidth of the two-port antenna is 5.6 GHz to 5.88 GHz which covers the 62 % bandwidth of the antenna. The two-port antenna MIMO parameters are analyzed and represent the effectiveness of the proposed antenna for 5.8 GHz (ISM) applications.
