Three-Phase Solar Fed Parallel Inverter Based Microgrid Configuration in GI and SA Modes

A microgrid powered by a combination of solar photovoltaics (PV) and battery as an energy storage unit is described. It is unified to a three-phase distribution network. Both grid-interfaced and standalone modes of operation are analyzed in this paper. One PV array with two stage configuration and another one with single stage configuration is presented. A voltage source converter (VSC) and a bidirectional converter (BDC) are used to establish a separate connection between the BES and the point of common coupling (PCC). In order to enhance power quality a logarithmic variable step size based least mean square (LVSLMS) is utilized to compute the fundamental active weight of the load currents.
