Maximizing Photovoltaic Energy Integration using Electric Spring

- The adoption of renewable energy sources has been restricted by their uncontrollable nature as they adversely affect the power quality, reliability and controllability of existing power grids. Dynamic demand side management addresses this problem by facilitating real time unintrusive control of consumer loads and can be implemented using a family of converters called electric springs. The proposed system aims at application of electric spring for maximizing the amount of consumer photovoltaic energy integration and efficient utilization of locally produced power while maintaining the voltage profile.
