Wideband Low-Profile Elliptically Polarized Radiator

In this paper presents the design and characteristics of a wideband low-profile elliptically polarized radiator. The radiator is a square strip with cutouts. It is powered by a coaxial cable. The overall dimensions of the radiator are 50 mm x 50 mm x 10 mm. The operation frequency band on the level of the VSWR less than 3 is from 1.62 to 3.15 GHz. Consequently, the height of the antenna at the upper operating frequency is approximately 0.11 $\lambda$. The value of the axial ratio, in general, does not exceed 2.
