The Phase-Locking of High-Power Delay-Coupled Gyrotron Oscillators with Hard Excitation

In this paper, we study the phase locking of coupled gyrotrons operating in the hard excitation mode. The results of numerical and theoretical analysis are presented. The peer-to-peer locking in the phase approximation are analyzed using the modified Adler’s equation. The stability of the in-phase and anti-phase synchronous states is examined. The complicated pattern of the synchronization domains on the frequency mismatch— coupling parameter plane is revealed.
