Design of a Dual-Band Dipole Antenna by Using Substrate-Integrated Double Line

This paper proposes a dual-band dipole antenna based on the newly emerging substrate-integrated double line (SIDL) technology. As a non-dispersive three-wire transmission line, SIDL has two inner conductors, which can protrude from the outer conductor and bend bilaterally, acting as the dipole's arms. The simulation illustrates that -10-dB impendence bandwidths are 0.88-1.27 GHz and 2.07-2.29 GHz, and the peak gains are 5.6dBi and 5.8dBi, respectively, which demonstrate the feasibility of SIDL technology in multi-band antenna design.
