Broadband High Gain Narrow-edge Frequency Scanning Antenna With I-Shaped Resonators

A narrow-edge frequency scanning antenna is proposed in this paper. By introducing I-shaped resonators (ISRs), the peak gain is enhanced. A wide beam scan angle range is achieved by utilizing Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton (SSPP) structure as the feeding line. The proposed antenna has a specific feature that its scanning plane is parallel to dielectric substrate, making it suitable in conformal occasions such as radar system, navigation system and missile borne system. The −10dB bandwidth is

and the beam scanning angle is
$74^{\circ}$
in XOY plane. The simulated maximum and average gain is 14.98dBi and 12.82dBi, respectively.
