Synthesis and Design of a New Class of High-Performance Miniaturized Multiport Filtering Power Dividers

In this work, synthesis and design of a new class of high-performance compact multi-port filtering power dividers (FPDs) is presented, based on the fully co-shared coupled resonant scheme. The transversal topology is explored as the initial topology in the synthesis process and ready to be transformed by similar transformations to attain a desired topology with high-performance filtering power division response. Meanwhile, based on power wave definition and the characteristic polynomial representation, such as this class of the FPDs freely match to arbitrary source and load impedance or power division ratio. For verification, two high-performance compact three-way FPD examples with different miniaturized topologies are synthesized and validated with provided design procedure.
