A review on direct torque control strategies in induction motor drives for electric vehicle applications

Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) are causing environmental problems in the modern world. To reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, ICE-based transportation systems are being replaced by electric vehicles. The EV's electric motor functions as its brain. The induction motor is the preferred option since it requires no maintenance. The DTC control does the induction motor's decoupling. Torque and current ripples are the two main DTC flaws that can be fixed using various methods. This publication assessed several beneficial ways for academic and industrial researchers.
