Mobile Sink based Data-Gathering Method to Minimize the Network Delay

In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the advantage of developing sink mobility is to extend the network lifetime. This approach presents the Mobile Sink Based Data-Gathering method (MSDG) to minimize the network delay. This approach’s purpose is to enhance the WSN lifetime and minimize the route detection cost. In addition to the clusterbased strategy, the nodes that have been chosen to serve as cluster heads (CHs) collect data from the sensor nodes that are part of their cluster and then send that data to the mobile sink (MS). In this study, the MS starts the data-gatheiing path regulaily from the beginning site. After that, it directly collects the data from CHs in a single-hop and sends the information it has gathered to the base station (BS). Furthermore, the MS forms the route to detect the obstacle efficiently by applying a minimum spanning tree. This approach uses the proposed method with energy-efficient routing to improve network lifetime. This MS assists in evading the CH energy expenditure during data transmission. Simulation outcomes show that the MSDG method increases the network throughput and minimizes the delay in the WSN.
