Smart Agriculture adoption based on Farmer's Perspective

The Indian agricultural industry has served as a metaphor for the rural development movements known as the green, yellow, white, and blue revolutions. Farmers are the economy's driving force. That is why a large portion of our population is directly or indirectly involved. Farmers feed the entire country but struggle to eat two square meals daily. Smart agriculture refers to the application of technology on your farm, including the Usage of the internet, field sensors, Automatic systems, robotics, and AI. The goal is to increase crop quality and quantity while optimizing human labour. Smart farming & Internet of Things-powered agriculture are paving the path for a Third Green Revolution. This Smart Agriculture is the need of the hour. This study was conducted in the delta districts of Tamil Nadu. This study was carried out mainly to assess the farmers' attributes and Knowledge towards Smart Agriculture adoption. SPSS and MS EXCEL were used for analysing the data. This study also tries to discover the significant challenges farmers face in adopting Smart Agriculture practices. Finally, this paper will help policymakers to understand the farmers' perception towards Smart Agriculture adoption. Improving farmers' condition not only benefit the Farmer but it contributes to the overall country's growth.
