Terrestrial Communication Link Computation

Link budget evaluation is a well-known method for initial communication link planning that needs to be carried out separately for the downlink and uplink. Communication link budget is a balance sheet of all gains and losses. It involves the calculation of received power, path losses, noise power, signal to noise ratio, receiver figure of merit and link margin. There are softwares available in the market, which can be utilized to design are not cost friendly and also have limitations in the form of some predefined data values, which the user cannot alter. In this paper we propose a new testbed which is designed to formulate the link budget calculations using Python GUI (Graphical User Interface) for terrestrial communications
