Implementation of Carlson approximation based Fractional Order Butterworth Lowpass Filter using Differential Voltage Current Conveyor

This study implements a Differential Voltage Current Conveyor (DVCC)-based fractional order Butterworth lowpass filter based on the Carlson approximation and two fractance devices. The transfer function of a fractional order system is originally determined. The conventional fractional order Butterworth equation is then used to compare the transfer function of the created system. This may be equaled to obtain the general situation in which the created system acts as a Butterworth filter of fractional order. Monte Carlo analysis is also a component of the inquiry. The Carlson and Halijak approximation is one of the rational approximations of a fractional capacitor device using a common Newton procedure (RC network). A fractional order Butterworth lowpass filter is simulated in the PSpice environment to confirm the theoretical results.
