Unbalance control strategy for active magnetic bearing rotor system based on rotor unbalance mass identification

To improve the control accuracy and suppress the rigid rotor vibration, it is necessary to compensate for rotor unbalance force of the active magnetic bearing (AMB) rotor system. In this paper, the principle of rotor unbalance compensation is analyzed first. Then an unbalance compensation control strategy based on real-time identification of rotor unbalance mass position is proposed, in the new control strategy, the variable-step variable-angle (VSVA) iterative seeking method is used to search for rotor unbalance mass position to improve the seeking efficiency and accuracy. Finally, the search performance of unbalance mass position and the effectiveness of vibration control for the new unbalance control strategy are analyzed by numerical simulations. The results show that the rigid rotor vibration supression strategy proposed in this paper can effectively control the unbalance vibration of the AMB flywheel rotor system in constant speed state operation and variable speed operation , with the advantages of high search efficiency and high accuracy.
