Predictive Current Control of PMSM Based on Parameter Identification of Combat Vehicles

In order to make a good change to the system dynamic response, cut down the steady-state error of the follower control system on a type of combat vehicles, model predictive control (MPC) is employed to propose a novel current controller to replace the traditional vector control system by PI controller. To solve the problem of degradation of performance due to mismatch of parameters between model and actual motor during the actual operation of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), a control method by using model predictive current on account of least squares method (LSM) including forgetting factor is submitted in the paper. The design establishes an online identification system for the resistance in the stator winding, inductance in the stator and magnetic chain in this PMSM, and applies the identified parameters as input variables adding predictive current control to the aim model to come to realize the effective online updating of the parameters of the real-time change of the control model. The simulation and analysis of conclusion made it evident that the proposed approaches improves the performance and the efficiency of the control methods by predictive current under the change of parameters in the motor.
