Safety Analysis of Train-Ground Communication Failure Based on Unfolding of Petri Nets

With the continuous development of train control technology, the research of the next generation train control (NGTC) becomes increasingly important. The NGTC system is complex and safety-critical, so the safety of the system is essential. This paper focuses on the train-ground communication failure of the NGTC system and proposes a new method based on the unfolding of Petri nets and path searching. By unfolding the complex Petri net and directly finding the path that leads to the occurrence of the hazardous state. The cause of the hazard due to train-ground communication failure can be found successfully.
