A Comprehensive Health Assessment Method of Railway Balise Based on E-CRITIC Method

The deterioration of the health status of railway Balise may lead to the failure of the vehicle equipment to receive effective location information, resulting in emergency braking of the train, and even serious accidents. This study proposes a new comprehensive health assessment method, which includes three layers: signal acquisition layer, data analysis layer and health assessment layer. The signal acquisition layer selects seven up-link signal characteristic parameters as the health indicators of the Balise. In the data analysis layer, normal fitting and linear fitting are used to score individual health parameters, and E-CRITIC method integrating entropy method and CRITIC method is used to allocate the weights of different health parameters. The comprehensive health results of the Balise is obtained in health assessment layer. Different case studies are carried out to verify the availability of the new method. Experimental results show that the E-CRITIC method has the highest consistency with the subjective evaluation results. The deviation of health evaluation results of E-CRITIC method is slightly higher than that of CRITIC method, far less than that of entropy method, and it is acceptable.
