Clutter suppression via space-time-range processing in co-pulsing FDA radar

Range dependent clutter suppression is a challenging problem in airborne frequency diverse array (FDA) radar due to the appearance of range ambiguity. In this paper, we develop a novel space-time-range adaptive processing filter for clutter suppression using co-pulsing FDA radar, where co-prime frequency offsets (FOs) applied across the elements of a co- prime array and each element transmits at a non-uniform co-prime pulse repetition interval (C-Cube). Taking advantage of the large aperture and increased degrees-of-freedom (DoFs) provided by three-dimensional co-prime structure, our proposed method provides good clutter suppression potential with low cost, compared to the uniform counterparts. Simulations results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed filters.
