Research on SVG Participating in Voltage Regulation and Non-power Outage Closing Loop Transfer Control Strategy of Distribution Network

With the development of social industry and smart grid, users have higher and higher requirements for power quality and power supply reliability. Therefore, it is of great significance to maintain the stability of network voltage and realize non-power outage closing loop transfer. Static Var Generator (SVG) is adopted in this paper to meet the demand of non-power load transfer during voltage disturbance against extreme conditions. Firstly, the droop regulation is introduced to realize the load bus voltage control, and then the control strategy of the SVG is changed through analysis to make it participate in the DC side loop-closing operation as a loop-closing device. Finally, under the PSCAD / EMTDC environment, the voltage regulating capacity of SVG is verified through simulation, and the participation in loop power supply is analyzed, which further verifies the feasibility of SVG participating in loop power supply, reflecting the advantages of SVG in stable voltage and loop-closing operation.
