Validation of the Forward Scattering Expressions in Half-space using Full-wave Solution

This article aims to validate the developed analytical models of scattered electric fields when cylindrical objects are buried in a two-dimensional half-space using a full-wave solution. A full-wave simulator, grpMax, works on the principle of finite difference time domain has chosen in this case as the simulator is specially designed for use in half-space. Fast Fourier Transform has been used to convert the time-domain scattered field data generated from gprMax to frequency domain when necessary.
