Research on Antenna Placement Proposal for High Isolation Based on the Current Distribution

This paper proposed a placement proposal of two antennas printed on both sides of the dielectric substrate based on the current distribution for high isolation. Two antennas printed on both sides of the dielectric substrate in coincidence, working in two frequency bands are designed. If the antenna working at the lower frequency band resonates in high order mode at the resonate frequency band of the other antenna, its high order resonant mode would affect intensively the radiation performance of the antenna. Analyzing the current distribution on the high order mode antenna, multiple nodes and antinodes appear along with the antenna. The high-frequency antenna is placed at different positions to research the isolation performance. The node location is proved to be the best placement for high isolation.
