Design of Dielectric Resonant Antenna (DRA) Array for 77GHz Automotive Radar Application

A novel antenna design is proposed for 77GHz Millimeter- Wave angular radar applications. The proposed radar antenna consists of 14 longitudinal radiating slot elements and the same number of rectangular resonators fold above, a single-layer substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) feeding structure. To further improve the broad matching and gain characteristics, another coupled feeding structure is applied to the transition between rectangular waveguide (RWG) and SIW feeding network.
