Design of a High-Q Microstrip Cavity Power Dividing/Combining Network

In this paper, a novel Ku-band microstrip cavity power dividing/combining network is proposed. The power dividing/combining network adopts a 3 dB bridge, two 3-way power dividers and six 2-way power dividers cascade form to realize ten-way power distribution or synthesis. When port

is input, ten output ports are equal amplitude and opposite phase. In this design, at 15.5 GHz, the insertion loss of each output port is about 12 dB, the insertion loss imbalance is less than 0.2dB, and the phase imbalance is less than
$3.3^{\circ}$
. Compared with the general microstrip structure, the power dividing/combining network has high
$\mathrm{Q}$
value, low insertion loss and good amplitude and phase consistency, and maintains the advantages of small size. Therefore, this design has certain application prospect.
