Anonymous Signcryption for Securing Knowledge Management System

The need to safeguard knowledge management systems (KMS) against security breaches has increased as attackers increasingly steal company secrets for nefarious motives such as blackmail, extortion, etc. Various cryptographic techniques have been developed in order to secure the KMS's shared data. However, none consider the case in which an employee wishes to exchange confidential information with the business manager without exposing his or her identity in order to prevent profiling or retaliation by other employees. This study proposes an anonymous signcryption system for secure information sharing without revealing the identities of the message's encryptor and signer. The proposed method was tested in a computer simulation, and the outcomes demonstrate that the system functions effectively and might be applied in real world.
