Performances Analysis of Turbo Codes, LDPC Codes and Polar Codes using AWGN channel with and without Inter Symbol Interference

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the performances of Turbo codes, LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes and Polar codes, over an AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel with and without ISI (Inter Symbol Interference). In case of using an AWGN channel without ISI, the channel impulse response was considered to be unitary. In contrast, in the case of an AWGN channel in the presence of ISI, it was required to apply equalisation. In this respect, it was used Zero Forcing equalizer to remove the ISI consequences. As performance indicator the BER (Bit Error Rate) was considered for a given SNR (Signal to noise Ratio), using BPSK modulation (Binary Phase Shift Keying).
