Ghost Reflection Processing Method in PON Branch Monitoring Based on OTDR

In this paper, we propose a new passive optical network (PON) monitoring method based on optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR). In the primary optical splitter structure, we can monitor multiple branches, and then analyze the ghost reflection (GR) that affect the monitoring effect. Through detailed experimental analysis, we give some treatment suggestions to improve the effect of multi branch fault monitoring.
