Optimal Operation of Green-Port Logistics System for Consumption Enhancement of Off-Shore Wind Power

Uncertainties and locations of off-shore wind power plants bring great challenges to the consumption of their generated power. This paper proposes an optimal operation strategy for the green-port logistics system to enhance the consumption of off-shore wind power. Managements of the quay cranes (QCs), yard cranes (YCs) and temperatures for reefer containers are considered in the optimization. The overall operation model is solved as a mixed integer linear programming problem. Numerical simulations containing a wind power plant and a green-port logistics systems are carried out to validate the proposed strategy. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy is able to maximize the consumption of the off-shore wind power as well as minimize the operating cost of the green-port logistics system.
