Joanne Hu (SM'10) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 1995 and the M.Sc. degree in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, in 2001.,She has more than 16 years of experience in high-voltage technologies and power equipment; power system stability and electromagnetic transient (EMTP) studies; subsynchronous resonance phenomena analysis and small-signal stability studies; HVDC system control and modeling; wind farm interconnection through HVDC schemes; series and shunt compensations; equipment design studies, such as breaker TRV, line, and transformer energization and live-line maintenance; and HVDC tender document preparation.,M...Co-Authors:
